Position: CareFlight Quality Coordinator-RN Department: CareFlight Air & Mobile Services Facility: Miami Valley Hospital Shift: Part time 7:00am-7:30pm/ 48 Hours Per Pay Position will be a dual role working as a Flight Nurse (24 hrs per pay) as well making this full time (72 hours per pay) Quality Coordinator: The Quality Coordinator works to maintain and improve the delivery of safe patient care through a continuous, systematic approach to monitoring CareFlight Air & Mobile Services' clinical performance and outcomes, safety management, and operational performance. The individual is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of quality and performance activities to meet accreditation requirements and departmental goals. They work closely with the Medical Director and Program Manager to ensure departmental quality compliance and collaborate regularly with CareFlight leadership and collaborating partners. The Quality Coordinator acts like a liaison between the Safety Management System and Quality Management Program. Flight Nurse: The Flight Nurse functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The Flight Nurse utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to provide safe and rapid transport of critically ill or injured patients by air ambulance or mobile intensive care to a higher level medical treatment facility. The Flight Nurse provides advanced emergency/critical care during medical transport and may also provide nursing care for patients throughout Premier Health. This position also include public relations and medical education functions. Flight Nurse is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards. Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree Additional requirements: § Type of degree: N/A § Area of study or major: N/A § Preferred educational qualifications: N/A § Position specific testing requirement: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration Valid Nursing License in the state of Ohio Certified Paramedic in the state of Ohio Maintains all certifications required with their critical care transport role Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of job related experience Prior job title or occupational experience: 3 years of experience with CareFlight Air and Mobile Services Prior specific functional responsibilities: N/A Preferred experience: Quality or process improvement training such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc. Other experience requirements: N/A
