Description NOC Shift Caregiver / Cook Location: Sunshine Assisted Living Pay: $19.00 per hour Schedule: 12:00 AM – 9:00 AM We are looking for a kind, dependable, and compassionate Caregiver / Cook to join our overnight (NOC) team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys caring for residents during the quiet overnight hours while also supporting our community through meal preparation and cooking. What You’ll Do In this dual-role position, you will support both resident care and kitchen operations during the NOC shift, including: Providing compassionate caregiving and assistance to residents throughout the night Provide compassionate, respectful assistance with daily living activities while promoting resident dignity and independence. Support residents with personal care needs, mobility, and comfort in a safe and caring manner. Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to the wellness team promptly. Follow care plans, safety guidelines, and company policies to ensure high-quality resident care. Monitoring residents’ safety and responding calmly to overnight needs or emergencies Preparing food during downtime to support the following day’s meals Prepping meals and ingredients for the next day’s kitchen team Cooking and serving breakfast for residents in the morning Maintaining cleanliness and following all food safety, sanitation, and safety protocols Communicating clearly with the daytime team to ensure smooth transitions of care and kitchen operations Completes other duties as assigned in support of quality care What We’re Looking For A caring, patient, and dependable team member with a genuine interest in older adults Previous caregiving and/or cooking experience preferred (but not required for the right candidate) Ability to work independently and stay organized during overnight hours Strong attention to safety, cleanliness, and resident comfort Ability to remain calm, kind, and professional Apply today! Requirements Education Required: None Preferred: Other Each employee must have a physical examination and tuberculin test performed by a physician. The tests are to be completed (with results) within seven (7) days after hire (unless regulations stipulate completion before employment.) If the exams are not completed within this time, the employee will be placed on suspension until they are completed. The Department of Social Services (DSS) licensing agency requires that fingerprint cards and an affidavit on criminal convictions be submitted for the purpose of conducting a criminal record review. The DSS will issue an approval or denial according to the criminal clearance reports. An approval must be obtained in order to retain employment All employees must keep their FIRST-AID certification current.
