We are recruiting Care Pros (aka Caregivers) for Companion Care weekend shifts across Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties. Companion Care Pros will spend time with the client, talking to them and participating in activities together like drawing, painting or taking walks, depending on the client’s interests. The goal is to keep older adults engaged and satisfied doing what they enjoy most. Essential Duties / Responsibilities Responsibilities of the Care Pro include, but are not limited to the following: Provides conversation and companionship to clients Provides conversation and emotional and social support to clients Meal preparation and cooking Medication reminders Light housekeeping duties (laundry, vacuuming and dishes, for example) Assists with transportation for appointments, shopping, errands, and social outings Helps arrange medical appointments Participates in training and professional development opportunities to develop and enhance skills Qualifications Kind, caring and compassionate At least 3 years of experience providing in-home care to seniors or other home-bound persons Dependable and punctual Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and current auto insurance Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision Resident of Philadelphia metro area (Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Bucks, and Philadelphia Counties in PA or New Castle County in DE) About Qualicare Home Care At Qualicare, we’re on a mission to help seniors and recovering adults live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
