JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care settings. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients, particularly those with dementia or other health challenges. As a Health Care Aide, you will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities or home care is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with senior care practices and patient care techniques is advantageous.
  • Experience in meal preparation and understanding the dietary needs of seniors is a plus.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively as needed in patient support tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for success in this role.

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene protocols and cleaning standards.
  • Assist with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when required.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient’s conditions to nursing staff promptly.
  • Support dementia care by engaging patients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
