Job description The Home Care Aide (HCA), also referred to as a Caregiver, is classified as unlicensed personnel employed by a Home Care Organization (HCO) to provide non-medical home care services. These services support clients who, due to advanced age, physical, or mental disability, are unable to perform these tasks independently. Responsibilities may include: Assists residents with activities of daily living, such as: Bathing Dressing Grooming Toileting Transfers Feeding Preparing or heating up meals Medication reminders Maintain a clean, and orderly environment for the individual by completing light housekeeping tasks as needed. Accompany client to medical appointments and other errands. Allowing and encouraging clients to do as much of their own care as possible. Requirements HCA registration with CDSS Negative TB test Reliable Transportation Part-time and full-time positions are available starting at $16.50-$18 per hr.
Responsibilities
The Home Care Aide assists residents with activities of daily living and maintains a clean environment. They also accompany clients to appointments and encourage independence in care.
