Job Details Job Location: Caring Hands & More LLC Business Office - Iowa City, IA 52240 Position Type: Part Time Education Level: High School/GED Salary Range: $16.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Any Our Hospice Support Specialists provide end of life care at the Hospice Home of Johnson County, also known as The Bird House. The Bird House is a community based nonprofit dedicated to providing compassionate, dignified end of life care by focusing on the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of our guests and their loves ones in a peaceful, homelike environment. Qualifications Qualifications: -Work day shifts -Previous caregiver experience required; end of life care experience preferred. -Experience working independently -Must be able to work every other weekend -Must be able to pass multiple background checks -Able to work 12 hour shifts Responsibilities: - Provide companionship, personal cares(bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting), medication management, meal preparation, housekeeping/laundry assistance, positioning, transferring, and feeding as appropriate. - Assist with care at the time of dying and death. - Complete medication management course or equivalent. - Work with volunteers - Participate in orientation and continuing education for the staff. - Work with a team of dedicated professionals to provide the best care possible to our guests. - Maintain confidentiality on all guests. - Complete Daily Documentation Full-time employee benefits include: - Health/Dental/vision insurance - Short term and Long term disability insurance - life insurance - Simple IRA with employee match - PTO If you're interested in a rewarding career helping others, please visit our website www.caringhandsandmore.com and click on the employment link at the top of the page.
