Schedule: FULL-TIME/ PART-TIME/ PRN

We are seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will provide care and clinical-related services consistent with each resident’s comprehensive assessment and care plan. Caregivers are expected to deliver all care with kindness, compassion and joy.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience giving personal care to individuals in a health care setting preferred
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Work independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leader?
  • Demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills?
  • Maintain good working relationships with residents and co-workers?
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned?

Responsibilities
  • Provide residents’ care (i.e., grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) daily and as needed
  • Change bed linen and regularly maintain appropriate grooming supplies in the resident’s room
  • Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics
  • Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned
  • Routinely turn and position residents as necessary. Preparing each resident’s room with necessary items such as blankets, pillows, medical equipment, and toiletries
  • Ensure a report has been given regarding his/her residents at the beginning of each shift
  • Respond to call lights/buzzers promptly and courteously, considering each light an emergency until answered
  • Seek assistance from the charge nurse when unsure of an assignment, procedure, or situation
  • Provide care that protects and promotes resident rights, dignity, privacy, confidentiality and active participation
  • Offer and respect resident choices and handle all resident property with respect
  • Refer to residents by proper names unless the resident requests otherwise, avoid the use of all pet names
  • Observe and immediately report to Charge Nurse, ADON or DON unusual occurrences, significant changes in resident’s physical or behavioral condition, patterns of decreased social interaction, angry or sad behaviors, and refusals of treatment
