Overview:
CustomCARE is one of the larger PCA agencies in Minnesota that serves children and adults with disabilities and the elderly population. We are currently seeking PCA’s and homemakers to assist clients with personal care, activities of daily living, errand running, homemaking, homework help, outings in the community, and behavior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Personal Cares: Dressing/Undressing, Grooming, Bathing, Eating, Transfers, Mobility, Positioning and Toileting.
  • Assist with personal Dressing and Undressing
  • Skin care, Bowel and gladder cares, range of motion exercises, and Respiratory assistance
  • Lifting, turning, positioning and transferring up to 50 pounds of weight and use mechanical lift when available
  • Medication assistance/reminders for pre-dosed medications; PCA’s cannot set up medications
  • Provide homemaking activities: Light Housekeeping and Laundry
  • Provide Community Interaction: Drive clients for Grocery Shopping, Running Errands and community involvement.
  • Monitor, observe and report changes in client’s health or behavior

Qualifications:
-
- Accurately document days and times for cares provided on timecard
- Report to CustomCARE office any accidents or injuries involving the client or employee within 12 hours of the occurrence
- Immediately report suspected incidents of client abuse or neglect to CustomCARE office
- Report any unsafe client behaviors to the CustomCARE office immediately
