Position Summary: This position involves assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, meals, hygiene, mobility, and supervision to residents through nurse delegation. Perks & Benefits: * Birthday & anniversary PTO * Tuition Assistance * Double pay on holidays * PTO accrual on DAY 1 * Referral Bonus * Free meal during shift (Up to $260 savings) * Loyalty Incentive * Employee Recognition Program * Discounts through Verizon and AT&T * Pay Advance Program * Medical and Prescription Drug Insurance including Dental and Vision * Basic Term Life/AD&D * 401K * Flexible Spending Account for Dependent Care Essential Job Responsibilities: Resident Care * Responsible for providing services to each resident according to the resident service plan. * Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, and mobility. * Monitor health, safety and well-being of the residents. * Document information pertaining to changes in residents’ functional status, personal needs, appointments, etc. * Maintain an accurate record of chargeable services and submit record to supervisor by the designated date each month. * Respond to resident emergencies; provide first-aid assistance and arrange for appropriate medical attention and/or follow up. * Launder residents’ clothing, linen and towels; fold and return to residents. * Assist with minor housekeeping of residents’ apartments. * Serve meals and bus tables during mealtimes as applicable. * Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs. Activities and Resident Involvement * Encourage socialization among residents and promote activities, assisting with activities as requested. * Chaperone activities outside the facility when requested. * Maintain a safe, home-like, and pleasant environment for residents. * Practice safety in working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools, and utensils. * Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel. * Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-services * Other duties as assigned Education, Experience and Other Requirements * At least one year experience providing care services for seniors * Knowledge of Basic First Aid * High school diploma or GED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required * Promote teamwork in providing services to resident. * State and Federal Guidelines for Assisted Living * HIPAA requirements * Safe food handling procedures * Nursing standards of practice for older adults * Skills in nurturing, organization, and interest in working with older adults Preferred Qualifications * Previous experience working in senior living
