ABOUT US:

We provide compassionate, one-on-one care to injured workers, accident victims, discharged patients, and others in the comfort of their own homes. We are currently looking for a dedicated female Personal Support Worker (PSW) with experience in palliative and/or ALS care to join our growing team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker certification (preferred)
  • Experience in long-term care or home care (preferred)
  • Experience supporting clients with Dementia (asset)
  • Palliative or ALS care experience (required)
  • Comfortable using and learning medical devices (e.g., CPAP, cough assist)
  • Must have a recent and clear Criminal Record Check
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused
  • Access to a car for travel to client homes is required

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living including ambulation, feeding, bathing, grooming, and toileting
  • Support with transfers and mobility assistance
  • Prepare meals and monitor symptoms as needed
  • Learn to operate and support the use of cough assist machines and CPAP devices (training provided)
  • Observe and report any changes in client condition to the care manager
  • Provide emotional and social support to clients and families, including end-of-life care
  • Encourage and assist clients in participating in activity programs
  • Follow all safety protocols including infection control, fire safety, and quality assurance procedures
