Job Description As a Caregiver at our Cambridge Village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives. Typical duties include: Delvering meals, supporting mealtimes, and assisting residents who need help eating Aiding with hygiene, such as showering Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc 3 weeks paid training commences onsite on the 27th January 2026 ahead of the care centre’s official opening. We have morning, afternoon and evening shifts available working 4 days on 2 days off with a minimum of 16 hours and a maximum of 32 hours per week. Please click here to view the full job description. Qualifications You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives. You’ll bring with you: Experience in aged care or similar industry NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3 or 4) or equivalent (essential) Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off At Summerset, we believe diversity strengthens our team and enriches the care we provide.
