Job Details Job Location: Garland - Garland, TX Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $13.00 Hourly Job Shift: Any Job Category: Health Care Description IMMEDIATE HIRING OF WEEKEND CAREGIVERS $13.00 PER HOUR This position is for Saturday and Sunday 6a-2p, 2p-10 and 10p-6a The Caregiver assists residents with Activities of Daily Living and other pertinent care and support needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of CAREGIVER include the following. Other duties may be assigned. serves meals and assists residents with meal time needs accompanies residents on shopping trips and instructs and counsels residents in purchase of personal items aids staff in administering therapeutic activities, such as physical exercises, occupational arts and crafts, and recreational games, to residents redirects disruptive residents to prevent injury to themselves and others observes and documents residents’ behaviors, such as speech production, and feeding patterns to facilitate assessment and development of treatment goals attends to routine Activities of Daily Living (ADL) of residents gives medications as prescribed by physician with RN delegation takes and records weight and vital signs with RN delegation engages with residents and participates with activities, programs and socials, both scheduled and non-scheduled ensures the safety and well-being of the resident at all times follows residents’ service plans as written and properly documented as required reports and documents emergency incidents attends mandatory training and in-service meetings and complete continuing education requirements Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS of CAREGIVER To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 0-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience First Aid/CPR, medication management preferred other field and position related skills, qualifications and training desirable ability to multitask ability to make quick decisions in life threatening situations ability to work as part of a team dedication to detail and reporting This position is part-time Weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

The Caregiver assists residents with Activities of Daily Living and provides support for their care needs. Essential duties include serving meals, accompanying residents on outings, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
