Description
Haven Home Care | We’re hiring Home Health Aides in Summit County, Ohio THE JOB You help people in their homes. Mostly older adults. Baths, getting dressed, meals, light cleaning, errands, companionship. This is physical work — you help people move around and stand most of the day. If you need help doing these tasks, tell us. We can talk about what might work.   You do NOT give medicine or do medical tasks. That's for nurses.   THE PAY $18/hour for all work time, including driving between clients $20/hour when working with a private pay client you referred 10% extra on holidays ($19.80/hour) Drive time BETWEEN clients: Paid Drive time TO first client or FROM last client: Not paid Paid every 2 weeks. Direct deposit. W-2 employment.   BONUSES $100 after 30 days with perfect attendance $100 when you refer a caregiver who stays 30+ days $75-$1,500 when you refer a private pay client (depends on their hours)   You can refer family members — parents, grandparents, anyone. Same bonuses apply.   WHY STNAs GET HIRED FASTER You already passed the state test. That's what your license means. Other caregivers take a written and skills test with us. You don't. This cuts days off the process.   HOW TO GET HIRED Timeline: 3-5 days if you move fast. Steps: 1. Apply with your STNA license number 2. Phone talk (20 minutes) 3. Short online questionnaire 4. Sign your paperwork online 5. Online orientation + document verification (30-40 minutes) 6. Fingerprinting (about 1 hour) Then you're ready to work. WHAT YOU NEED Active STNA license in Ohio Driver's license Your own car with insurance that covers work driving Pass background checks Work at least 20 hours/week Available between 6AM-8PM (most work is 8AM-5PM) Legal right to work in the US Must be at least 18 years old   ALL STNAs WELCOME Just passed your state test? We love new STNAs. Fresh training, we give real-world experience. Many agencies want "experienced only." We don't. Experienced and ready for better? Tired of forced overtime and ignored limits? Bring your experience. Coming back after time off? As long as your Ohio license is active, you're welcome. HOW CLIENT MATCHING WORKS You tell us your limits during your phone interview: pets, smoking, travel distance, days and times. We only assign clients that match YOUR limits. Period.   The tradeoff: The more flexible you are, the faster you start. The more restrictive, the longer you wait.   We might have 5 clients available today. But if none match your limits, for you there are zero. This is YOUR timeline to control.   Three scenarios: - You're open to most things → Could start with 20-40 hours immediately - You have strict limits → May wait 1-2 weeks for a matching client - You're open but we have no matches today → You're first in line for the next one   During your first 2 weeks, we gauge reliability with fill-in shifts. But if permanent clients match you right away, we assign them right away.   After that, you have your regular clients — same people every week. Most caregivers have 2-4 regulars. You can still pick up extra fill-ins if you want more hours.   WHAT WE DON'T HAVE No PTO — time off is unpaid, give us 1 month notice No 401k No health insurance No career ladder — this stays a caregiving job   What grows: your client relationships and your paycheck through bonuses and referrals. One caregiver has been here 18 years. If you want to change your limits later, just let us know.   WHERE WE NEED HELP Akron, Barberton, Copley, Cuyahoga Falls, Hartville, Hudson, Kent, New Franklin, Norton, Rootstown, Silver Lake, Stow, Tallmadge, Uniontown.   We match based on how far you'll travel, not just city names. Say you can do 30 minutes, we may assign clients anywhere in that range.   NEXT STEP Text (330) 400-3423 or apply here. Check your spam folder — our emails sometimes land there. Don't call. We might not answer. We always check texts.   Need help with the application process? Contact us at (330) 400-3423 and we'll work with you.   ----------------------------------------   Haven Home Care | Ohio since 1998 | Equal Opportunity Employer | W-2 Position | E-Verify Participant   Haven Home Care participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
