Community Living Instructor (CLI) Job Description ____________________________________________________ TITLE: Community Living Instructor (CLI) STATUS: Full-Time or Part-Time CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None REPORTS TO: Community Support Facilitator (CSF) House Manager ___________________________________________________________________________________ Description: Community Living Instructors supervise, dress and feed intellectually disabled adults. Such supervision entails providing necessary instruction to support and assist participants with maintaining their independence and safety in the community. Preferred Qualifications: Prefer High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Prefer 1+ year of experience working with intellectually disabled adults, prefer ILS experience, or special education teaching experience. An appropriate combination of experience and education may be substituted for some part of the qualifications. Prefer behavioral training, knowledge of Regional Center System servicing developmentally disabled. Prefer reliable and safe transportation and auto insurance Pre-Employment Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. CPR and First Aid training, or willingness to be trained within 30 days of employment. Negative TB/Chest X-Ray (prior to employment). Department of Justice fingerprint clearance (prior to employment). Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening (prior to employment). Current personnel certifications, clearances, and reports as required by agency policy or licensing/Regional Center Requirements. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this position, the employee needs to be able to communicate with participants/clients and hear, regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach within arm’s length, lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds, possess visual acuity, and be licensed and able to drive during their assigned work shift. JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary Duties: The Community Living Instructor (CLI) is required to devote a minimum of 90% of work hours each week to Personal Attendant duties, specifically, supervision, feeding and dressing of participants/clients who, by reason of advanced age, physical disability or mental deficiency, need supervision. The pay is $16.50 an hour We are looking for people who are licensed drivers. Must be able to provide proof of insurance and registration. We are looking to hire someone who is available to work Thursday-Sundays
