We are a small residential care home in North Shields focused on Dementia care seeking compassionate Carers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in need.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in care is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and their families.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Current DBS an advantage

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to appropriate personnel.
• Engage clients in activities that promote mental stimulation, including memory exercises for those with dementia care needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
