JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including assisted living, care homes, and home care. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with conditions such as Alzheimer’s and dementia.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in caregiving roles such as senior care, hospice care, or home care is desirable but not compulsory.
  • Familiarity with Service user care protocols, first aid, and medication administration is an advantage
  • Experience working with individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s or dementia is an advantage.
  • A background in Adult care may also be beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition.
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote a positive environment.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
  • Document care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
