12.5 hours per week permanent 41 weeks per year
We are seeking a permanent caretaker to work at Cefn Mawr School.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person who would play a key role in maintaining the school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.
You will be responsible for keeping the school secure, be able to carry out minor maintenance repairs, carry out safety checks as required and ensure adequate records are maintained. As the main key holder, you will also be responsible for the daily unlocking and locking of the school.
Your duties will include ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, and you will be responsible for cleaning specific areas of the school.
You will organise the efficient removal of waste from the building and the grounds, including recycling, and ensure that the outdoors are kept clear of weeds, litter and debris.
You will be expected to attend school as necessary outside of normal working hours in cases of alarm activation or other emergency.
An enhanced DBS & Social Council for Wales registration is required for this position
