We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Caretaker/Janitor to come and join our Borders School Account at Berwickshire High School, Duns, Berwickshire TD11 3QG - This role will be based on site.
The salary for this role is £14.20/hr
The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week on shift rotation - Monday-Friday 6am-3pm, 8am-5pm, 1pm-10pm (1hr for lunch)
Every 3rd Saturday 8am-1pm ( this will include a shift allowance of 12.5%)

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.

• Ensure smooth running of the school premises
• Carrying out day-to-day DIY/maintenance and minor repairs (i.e., furniture fixtures, wall repairs)
• To ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly
• Daily responsible to check that all doors and windows are locked when the building is not in use
• Checking the premises to guard against vandalism
• Arranging chairs and tables for meetings or assemblies and clearing away afterwards
• Litter picking and general clearing of external areas
