Description

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Proven hands-on experience in a similar Caretaker, Building Maintenance, or Facilities role.
  • Good knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry & building works.
  • The ability to solve problems by identifying issues and providing effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills; consistently courteous and presents themselves in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks.
  • Basic IT literacy (email reporting and maintenance logs).
  • Willingness to learn and develop to meet the business requirements.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and ability to assist with monitoring of statutory requirements
Responsibilities

Role and responsibilities:

  • Undertake preventive maintenance and general repairs across all premises.
  • Maintain and manage outdoor areas including perimeters, ensuring spaces are kept clear, clean and tidy.
  • Assist with general cleaning duties throughout the premises, whilst monitoring and ensuring standards are maintained.
  • Support the business in maintaining compliance with key operational standards.
  • Maintain documentation and implementation of compliance-related tasks to ensure relevant regulations and policies are adhered to.
  • Support the Building Services Dept with facilities-related activities across all premises.
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance subcontractors while they undertake specific on-site activities.
