REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years’ experience in caretaking, building maintenance, or cleaning
• Comfortable with manual handling and working outdoors
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Must be self-employed and able to invoice for work completed
• Availability for on-site training/shadowing prior to start date

ABOUT THE ROLE

RG8 Facilities is seeking an experienced Caretaker to provide ad-hoc cover for an apartment complex in Nottingham. This role involves supporting the site’s regular caretaker during periods of annual leave or sickness.

You must be available to cover the following confirmed dates:

• September: 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th

This is a self-employed, zero-hours position. Additional ad-hoc shifts may be offered throughout the year based on site requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will support the day-to-day running of the development, including:

• Conducting daily visual inspections and reporting repairs
• Replacing light bulbs in common areas and lift cars
• Assisting with refuse management
• Supervising cleaners and handyman/gardener on site
• Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of communal areas
• Liaising with contractors, emergency services, and the Area Office
• Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance
• Managing deliveries and post for absent residents
• Responding to resident emergencies during your shift
