Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

Responsible for the effective management of the cargo business in Portugal to include facilities in Lisbon, Porto, Funchal and Porto Santo.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Oversee performance and operational effectiveness of cargo station managers at key hubs, ensuring efficient management of significant cargo volumes with a focus on safety, compliance, and service excellence.
  • Provide overarching leadership and strategic direction for all cargo operations across Portugal, ensuring alignment with Menzies Aviation’s global standards and business objectives.
  • Support commercial initiatives to grow the cargo business, including identifying new opportunities, building customer relationships, and contributing to commercial proposals in coordination with the VP Portugal and VP Cargo Europe.
  • Ensure all cargo operations meet or exceed regulatory and internal safety and security standards. Promote a safety-first culture and manage incident response and mitigation where required.
