Cargo Acceptance Officer (International & Domestic) Location:Port Moresby Department: Airfreight Reports to: Counter Acceptance Supervisor Air Niugini is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Cargo Acceptance Officer to join our Cargo team. This role is essential in ensuring that all cargo—both domestic and international—is accepted, processed, and handled in accordance with IATA standards and Air Niugini’s policies. Key Responsibilities Accept and consign all Domestic and International cargo. Verify cargo rebates and ensure accuracy when processing consignment notes and airway bills. Ensure all Dangerous Goods are properly declared and accompanied by completed Check Sheets. Cross-check all cargo lodged by Cargo Agents. Confirm all cargo is correctly labelled before acceptance. Accurately capture data for connotes and airway bills. Assist with the release and delivery of cargo as required. Prepare quotations and cargo invoices. Attend to customer enquiries with professionalism and efficiency. Undertake additional tasks as delegated by the Cargo Customer Service Supervisor. Report any unsafe practices or security concerns within the working environment. Qualifications & Requirements Degree or Diploma in Business Studies, Management, or a related field (preferred). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
