Cargo Domestic Officer Location: Port Moresby Department: Airfreight Reports to: Cargo Operations Team Leader Air Niugini is seeking a committed and detail-oriented **Cargo Domestic Officer** to join our Cargo Operations team. The successful applicant will ensure that all domestic cargo is accepted, manifested, processed, and lodged for uplift in full compliance with PX IATA Rules, Regulations, and Procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail and a high standard of customer service at the domestic acceptance counter. Key Responsibilities Create and process all outbound domestic cargo in the system. Ensure all Dangerous Goods are correctly declared and Check Sheets completed before acceptance. Liaise with Reservations to confirm that all booked cargo is re-lodged for uplift. Ensure all lodged cargo is correctly labelled. Ensure cargo is loaded on trolleys, manifested, re-weighed, and DWS submitted to Load Control. Liaise with ACTM to ensure all transit cargo receives priority uplift. Cross-check all cargo lodged by Cargo Agents. Conduct survey reports when discrepancies are observed. Create and release flight manifests immediately after flight departure. Assist with other duties as delegated by the Senior Cargo Operations Officer – Domestic. Ensure cargo is delivered to the correct consignee in line with candidate profile requirements. Report any unsafe practices or security concerns in the working environment. Qualifications & Requirements Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Management, or a related field (preferred). Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a time-critical operational environment. Knowledge of domestic cargo handling, manifesting, and IATA procedures is advantageous.
