Description
Responsible for leading and supervising cargo terminal operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and service excellence in line with IATA, GCAA, and airline standards. Handles special cargo (pharma, perishables, live animals) per CEIV and GDP regulations, and assumes full operational responsibility in the Duty Manager's absence. Manage shift operations in accordance with approved shift patterns, monitoring staff allocation, productivity, and compliance with service level agreements. Ensure accurate management of rosters, attendance records, and leave approvals; oversee staff training and task allocation to maintain operational readiness. Prepare detailed shift reports and handovers, communicate significant events, and escalate issues affecting cargo handling to the line manager or duty manager. Ensure strict adherence to the organizational code of conduct, including wearing the official company-provided uniform during duty hours. Prepare and submit detailed shift reports to the line manager, covering activities, incidents, tasks, and stakeholder communications during shifts. Perform any other duties delegated or assigned by the line manager. Educated to at least high school level, preferably diploma level in logistics, operations management or related discipline with acquired specialization in cargo handling operations. Minimum 3 years of experience in airport operations, of which 1 year must be in cargo operations. Completion Certificate on IATA - TCR, PCR, LAR trainings are desirable Fluency in English is considered an added advantage Proficient in computer systems and applications. #LI-DNI
