POSITION SUMMARY

Carlyle Global Credit is seeking an experienced individual responsible for supporting all aspects of the fund management, fund accounting and financial reporting for Carlyle Structured Credit business including Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) investments and liquid credit SMAs. The individual will work closely with and support the Structured Credit product team to oversee all CLO focused investment executions.
This position requires strong accounting and finance experience, working knowledge of the credit industry and valuation techniques for both liquid and illiquid credit products a plus, sound organizational and analytical skills as well as the ability to build rapport with Carlyle investors, TPA and the various constituents we interact with throughout the firm.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance required
  • CPA preferred

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in public accounting
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP with an emphasis on accounting for investment funds
  • Knowledge of CLOs or Structured Finance is a plus
Responsibilities
  1. Fund Management / Operations
  • Monitor legal compliance with various fund agreements and side letter arrangements
  • Reconcile daily trade activity
  • Manage investor capital activity including capital calls and calculation of management fees and other expenses.
  • Review fund and asset level performance metrics
  • Prepare Economic Net Income models for FP&A budgeting and reforecast
  1. Accounting / Financial Reporting / Management Company Reporting / Investor Reporting
  • Perform detailed review of periodic closes based on data received from the Third-Party Administrator ("TPA"), which includes review of related support for all balance sheet and income statement items.
  • Manage the monthly working capital review and quarterly billing of expense reimbursements and management fees with Corporate Accounting
  • Prepare quarterly investor updates
  • Coordinate corporate deliverables and disclosures for firm’s public company reporting
  • Review and approval expense allocations and invoice payments
  • Prepare and respond to investor inquiries and requests
