Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

Responsible for constructing, installing, maintaining, and repairing structures and components using wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, reinforced concrete, and other materials. Your expertise will bring architectural designs to life through precise framing, formwork, finishing, and renovations across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety, you will help ensure projects meet industry standards and building codes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A note that if travel is required, a Living Out Allowance (LOA) and applicable uplifts will be provided in accordance with company policy.

  • Read and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate construction and compliance with design requirements.
  • Work with wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other construction materials, using a variety of fasteners such as nails, screws, bolts, or adhesives.
  • Build walls, floors, and doorframes, ensuring precision and durability in all structural components.
  • Construct concrete forms, scaffolding, bridges, trestles, tunnels, shelters, towers, and other structures for commercial or industrial projects.
  • Secure rebar reinforcement and embedded items within concrete structures for added strength and stability.
  • Build concrete stair forms, place concrete, and execute finishing techniques to achieve high-quality results.
  • Ensure proper fitting and alignment of doors, windows, and associated hardware for functionality and security.
  • Install a variety of finish materials, including siding, drywall, trim, paneling, and decorative elements, ensuring a polished and professional appearance.
  • Construct and install cabinets for kitchens, bathrooms, and other spaces with precision and attention to detail.
  • Implement techniques to control heat and sound transmission, air circulation, and moisture movement to enhance energy efficiency and comfort.
  • Execute complex formwork and framing for unique or custom construction projects.
  • Modify, expand, or enhance existing structures while maintaining structural integrity and design aesthetics.
  • Keep up to date with evolving building codes, industry regulations, and construction methodologies to maintain high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Accurately fill out paperwork, project reports, and other required documentation to ensure compliance and project tracking.
