CARPENTER AND JOINER – TARNEIT, VIC

Kogan People Solutions is working with a well-regarded carpentry firm, who have been assisting in new builds and renovations for many years, based in Tarneit, VIC.
Our client’s team of professional Carpenters and Joiners put everything into their work, completing projects with a high level of detail and in a timely manner.
As our client’s business continues to grow, they now seek a skilled and qualified Carpenter and Joiner to welcome into their busy team. The role is full time, and ongoing.
Location – Business is based in Tarneit, but the work locations are in and around the surrounding suburbs and beyond.
Salary – Negotiable in the range of $70k to $80k plus superannuation per annum.

Responsibilities

THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION WILL INCLUDE:

  • Close attention to all agreed and documented specifications to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
  • Be involved in understanding and selecting the materials needed for individual assignments.
  • Cutting the length of materials accurately to ensure neat and tight fit.
  • Crafting fitting and assembling materials to form the required frames, and other components.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO POSITIVELY ADDRESS THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:

  • Verifiable excellent woodworking skills
  • Qualified to Cert IV or agreed equivalent and all necessary cards.
  • At least 1 to 3 years (preferably more) experience since you gained your qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of, and ability to use, a variety of hand and power tools to assemble residential building material components.
  • Eye for detail and pride in your work.
  • Current Driver’s License and access to your own vehicle is essential.
  • Solid OH&S awareness and be physically fit.
  • Happy team member keen to get the job done, on time, to high standards.
  • Solid industry references.
  • Keen to be employed on a full-time salaried basis (so this role is not suitable for sub-contractors)
