Description

Carpenter Apprentice / Deck Builder – Maplewood Design Build (Georgetown, ON)
We’re a small but growing deck company known for meticulous, top-notch work. Every project we build is done right the first time, with respect for the craft and the client.
I’m looking for a carpenter who takes pride in precision, professionalism, and quality.

What to Expect on the Job

  • The work is physically demanding, repetitive, and sometimes monotonous. This is not easy work — it requires stamina, consistency, and mental toughness.
  • Sometimes work has to be redone or adjusted because clients change their minds. Flexibility and patience are a must.
  • We keep high standards. If it’s not right, it gets fixed. Period.

What We Expect

  • Clean, precise carpentry — level lines, tight joints, and attention to detail.
  • Respectful and professional behavior at all times (towards clients, coworkers, and the job site).
  • Clear, normal communication — no slang, no nonsense.
  • Ability to learn and take advice. No one knows everything, and being teachable is just as important as skill.
  • Hand tools and prior experience are a must.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Commitment to safety and keeping a clean, organized job site.
  • Strong work ethic and consistency. This is not a job for coasting or clock-watching.
  • Pride in the craft and willingness to redo something until it’s right.

What we Offer

Respect. You’ll be treated as a professional, not just a laborer. I expect the same respect in return — from you, from me, and from clients.

  • A chance to carry yourself in a professional manner and be part of a company that values quality over cutting corners.
  • Trial period (2–4 weeks) to make sure it’s the right fit for both of us.
  • Opportunities to grow into a lead carpenter/foreman role as the company expands.
  • Steady work with a company built on quality and respect.
  • Fair pay that reflects your skill, effort, and reliability.

To apply: Send a message with your experience and pictures of work you’ve completed to office@maplewooddesignbuild.ca , as well as an introduction about yourself (job or hobby projects welcome).
