The Role We are currently recruiting for Apprentice & Journeymen Carpenters who have formwork and concrete and finishing experience. This will start in early March and preference will be given to candidates who live in or around Gordondale, BC Shift TBD, 12 hours/day Compensation/Benefits Wages are based on experience. Overtime at 1.5 x after 8 hours per day Health, dental, vision, travel benefits (50/50 split) after 90 days. 10% vacation and stat holiday pay on all regular hours worked. Weekly pay Long term disability, AD&D, life insurance & dependent life Insurance after 90 days Job Duties/Responsibilities Ability to Read and interpret blueprints Use power tools/ hand tools to complete site specific form work. Assist with the installation of concrete structures Follow all OCL safety regulations Skills/Qualifications/Education Certified Journeyman Carpenter Registered apprentice carpenter Experience in system formwork (doka & peri) Previous experience in concrete finishing is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor Knowledge of hand tools and mechanical equipment used in Carpentry Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision Ability to work effectively as part of a team Must have WHMIS 2015, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP and GD2 Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes Must be able to to work outside in varying weather conditions Must be able to to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Must be legally eligible to work in Canada Must be clean shaven OCL Group Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
