QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience or training in carpentry, finish carpentry, or framing preferred
  • Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving materials
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to work independently on smaller tasks
  • Class 5 driver’s license and personal vehicle is an asset
  • Any relevant certifications (e.g., Fall Protection, First Aid) are a plus
Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

We’re seeking a hands-on and dependable Carpenter Assistant / Site Helper to support our construction team with daily on-site tasks. The role includes assisting lead carpenters, performing basic repairs, and keeping job sites safe, clean, and efficient. Some flexibility to work from home for minor coordination tasks may be possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist carpenters with framing, finishing, and general construction tasks
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials
  • Perform minor repairs, patching, painting, and general handyman work
  • Load/unload materials, prepare sites, and clean up after work
  • Maintain tools and equipment
  • Follow safety protocols at all times
