JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter with experience in first fix carpentry and formwork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and installing essential structures for new builds and renovations. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter, specializing in first fix and formwork.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in construction.
  • Good physical condition and ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid safe pass and manual handling.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with concrete shuttering/formwork systems.
  • Own tools and transport.

Responsibilities
  • Perform first fix carpentry, including the installation of timber frames, wall studs.
  • Construct formwork for concrete pouring, including foundations, slabs, walls, and columns.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, concrete, and other materials as per project specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of carpentry tasks.
  • Work closely with other trades on-site to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
