OVERVIEW

Falcon Heights Contracting, a premier custom residential home-building company, is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our talented team. In this hands-on role, you will execute concrete formwork, framing, siding, and finishing to the highest standards, ensuring every detail aligns with bespoke design plans. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with excellent problem-solving abilities and takes pride in contributing to exceptional custom homes. EXPERIENCE

  • Red Seal certification (or equivalent) with 2+ years of carpentry experience post-apprenticeship, preferably in custom residential projects.
  • Occupational First Aid certification is an asset. Additional pay may be available for successful applicants with current OFA Level 3 certification.
  • Solid knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in carpentry techniques, BC Building Code requirements, and residential construction methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and envelope interfaces.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence, reliable transportation, and a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, working in varied weather, and standing, walking, or climbing for extended periods.
Responsibilities
  • Execute concrete formwork, framing, siding, and finishing tasks with precision and quality.
  • Interpret detailed blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate construction.
  • Collaborate closely with Site Supervisors, Lead Carpenters, and fellow Carpenters to maintain seamless workflows and timely project updates.
  • Uphold rigorous safety standards and contribute to a safety-first culture on every site.
  • Maintain tools, materials, and equipment to ensure project readiness and efficiency.
  • Support apprentices and labourers by sharing knowledge and demonstrating best practices.
