Due to continued growth, a great opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and energetic individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our Brisbane Service Department as a Carpenter – Fire Door Installer . This permanent full-time position involves, installation of fire doors and hardware, routine testing, servicing and minor repairs of a fire doors, passive fire/smoke doors.
The role will require the successful applicant to be able to plan, organise and have excellent time management skills. The applicant must be able to work autonomously as well as demonstrate versatility and support within a team environment.

Primary duties will include:-

• Install Fire and Smoke Doors
• Maintain Fire and Smoke Doors
• Inspect, test and carry out repairs of fire doors and passive fire protection systems, on a systematic basis as per our service contracts, in accordance with Australian Standards
• Testing and defect rectification of fire doors
• Liaise with customers, promoting a professional and friendly environment
• Ensure compliance to Environmental Health and Safety requirements
• Complete service records using smart device technology

Key qualities we are looking for in this role include:

• Qualified Carpenter
• Previous exposure to the fire industry (would be well regarded)
• Strong focus on quality, customer service and client satisfaction
• A strong focus on safety
• Current Driver’s Licence (essential)
• Good personal presentation
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
