Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Step into a Carpenter role where your core skills are valued. You’ll be responsible for a range of carpentry tasks and support the team in constructing quality modular buildings. With opportunities to collaborate, solve problems, and help drive projects forward, your contribution will be essential to our shared success.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Install and assemble various building components, including flooring, wall frames, roof trusses, windows, doors, and exterior claddings.
  • Set up building levels and alignments according to drawings and project requirements.
  • Build additional structures such as stairs, ramps, eaves, and transit walls.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding to support construction activities.
  • Assist team members and labourers to support project progress and completion.
  • Conduct maintenance, repair work, modifications, and reworks as needed to ensure quality and safety.
  • Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment, and comply with workplace health and safety standards.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL DEMONSTRATE:

  • Carpentry Trade Qualification or equivalent experience in knowledge and trade skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • White Card (Construction Card).
  • Valid Australian Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Building and Construction Industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Manual Handling Safe Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Experience with use of power tools.
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Working at Heights or EWP ticket (Desirable).
  • First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
