G4S Care & Rehabilitation Services (CaRS) boasts a successful track record managing four prisons, a secure training centre, and numerous community contracts across England and Wales. Our core philosophy centres on rehabilitating offenders, equipping them with the necessary skills to reintegrate into society upon release. We strive to create a prison environment that mirrors life outside, fostering a sense of normalcy as far as possible. Our overarching aim is to cultivate a safe and secure environment for both staff and prisoners.
Reporting to the Lead Engineer, we are looking for a full time Carpenter to join our FM team. In addition you will deliver and manage all Locks at HMP Five Wells which will form part of the role. You will be responsible for the construction, installation, and repair of various wooden and structural elements around the establishment. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our projects by performing a wide range of tasks from framing to finishing work.
With full Lock training provided if not qualified in this area, as part of your role, you will also ensure that locks are maintained and repaired in accordance with contract requirements, ensuring that all records are maintained and that all locks are effective and maintained.
