Thank you for enquiring about our Carpenter/ Farmhand role at Glenworth Valley Wilderness Adventures (GVWA), Australia’s
largest horse riding and outdoor adventure centre.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

All applicants need to be over 18 years of age, non-smoking, Australian residents and be physically fit, self-motivated, and capable of
carrying out strenuous physical labor. Carpentry trade qualification and general handyman skills are required. Farming, fencing,
livestock and agricultural plumbing experience is preferred but not required.
Ideal candidates will enjoy working outdoors in a rural type setting, and not afraid to chip in and get your hands dirty doing a range
of behind-the-scenes tasks associated with maintaining and operating Australia’s largest Wilderness adventure center. Applicants
will be assessed using the list of key result areas in the job description.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Carpenter/ Farm hand
Reports to: Farm Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The purpose of the role is to maintain and improve the property and farm infrastructure through a wide range of carpentry and
general Farmhand skills. This role involves a range of project and construction improvements, property repairs and maintenance
and general farm hand tasks across all property buildings, facilities and infrastructure including but not limited to sheds, offices,
cabins, amenities, bridges, fences etc. With a hands-on approach and problem-solving skills, the Farm Hand/Carpenter plays a vital
role in ensuring all structures and systems remain functional, safe and well-maintained, supporting the overall operations and
efficiency of the property.
