PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Provide skilled craftsmanship for installation of all types of concrete formwork. Including in wall and roof blocking, installation of doors frames and hardware, and finish carpentry. The base compensation range for this role is $29-$37 per hour. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skill and experience with consideration given to internal equity. KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) Studies blueprints, sketches or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard. Measures the dimensions of structure of fixture to be fabricated Build decks, stairs, roofs and other temporary structures between office units, plan tables, install shelves, setup tool trailers and/or conex’s, per plans Hand-set forms and/or assemble the gang forms Accountabilities Assist others with the shooting of grades and elevations The unloading, handling, stockpiling, and erecting of all pre-fabricated materials Concrete and rough carpentry Handset Walls Footings Set Gang Wall Forms Structural Concrete Decks In-wall and roof-blocking Finish Carpentry, doors, frames, and hardware All other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy Pictures of solid objects from drawings or diagrams Must be able to speak and understand English Able to adapt communication style to the speaker and possess a high degree of active listening skills Strong teamwork orientation Positive attitude and professional customer service skills Detail orientation Open to change based on diverse input and feedback Effectively work with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels Adaptive, effective communication and active listening skills Strong cross-cultural relationship building and influencing at all organizational levels EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A high school diploma or GED is preferred Trade or technical school certification/diploma is a plus A minimum of four years of experience as a carpenter ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequency codes: (A) Always, (F) Frequently, (O) Occasionally, (N) Never Frequency A - See (naturally or corrected) A - Hear (naturally or corrected) A - Traverse construction site daily A - Balance A - Manual dexterity A - Arm steadiness A - Dirt F - Heat/Cold F - Excessive noise A - Dust O - Grease/Oil O - Vibration F - Heights O - Confined spaces O - Sitting A - Standing A - Walking F - Crouching/Stooping F - Kneeling/Squatting F - Climbing A - Repetitive hand/arm/leg movements F - Lifting/Carrying Up to 50lbs O - Lifting/Carrying 50lbs+ F - Pushing/Pulling Up to 50lbs F - Pushing/Pulling 50lbs+ F - Reaching (high or low) *Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment. .
