OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in using power tools and equipment. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial construction, renovations, and installations. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

v Journeyman Trade Certificate is a must.
v Valid driver’s license.
v Willing to work in multiple location throughout Alberta.
v Must be able to obtain a personal security clearance.
v Must be punctual, reliable, and motivated to work.
v Positive attitude.
v Sound knowledge of building codes and construction regulations.
v Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
v Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
v Excellent organizational, written and communication skills, and working with others.

Responsibilities

v Always adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures, company, and OH&S.
v Report to and follow instructions from the Site Supervisor.
v Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and working under pressure or timelines.
v Perform tasks of substantial variety and complexity, which require a thorough knowledge of fitting techniques, materials, tools, machines, and equipment.
v Installing wooden structures such as doors, door frames, stud work, etc.
v Installation of drywall with backing.
v Adding fixtures/fittings such as door handles, hinges, locks, etc.
v Fill out time sheet, safety logs, FLHA’s, and toolbox meetings.
v Work is full time with some overtime.
v Liaising with Project Manager to ensure proper materials are used, timeline and budget.
v Ability to perform physical labor.
v Lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
v Complete site cleaning and general tasks.
v Climb to heights and conduct work with proper Fall Protection System and be certified.
v Navigate the Construction Site terrain.
v Attend all training courses as required.
v Attend all work-related safety meetings.
