We are seeking a skilled Casual Carpenter to assist with internal works on a project-by-project basis. The role involves installing, repairing, and finishing interior timber fixtures and fittings, ensuring high-quality results in residential settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and repair internal fixtures such as skirting boards, architraves, doors, door frames, wardrobes, and wall panels.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to project specifications.
• Conduct repairs and replacements on existing internal carpentry works.
• Ensure accurate finishing, alignment, and detailing of all internal timberwork.
• Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment safely
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements at all times.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong skills in fitting doors, skirtings, architraves, wardrobes, and internal joinery.
• Proven experience as a carpenter with a focus on internal works (3+ years).
• Ability to work with precision, attention to detail, and quality finishes.
• Competent in using a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III or equivalent) preferred not required.
• White Card (Construction Induction) required.

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $30.00 – $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
