JOB SUMMARY:

The Carpenter – Joinery is responsible for the fitout, construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of wooden structures and fittings within residential buildings. This includes doors, wardrobes, cabinets, shelves, and other wooden or composite fixtures. The role plays a key part in ensuring functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing woodwork in both individual apartments and common areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• ITI or Diploma in Carpentry, Woodworking, or related trade.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in joinery or furniture carpentry, preferably in residential or facilities environments.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking materials, tools, and joinery techniques.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints.
• Skilled in using carpentry tools such as saws, routers, drills, chisels, and sanders.
• Good troubleshooting, finishing, and repair skills.
• Ability to work independently or in coordination with other maintenance staff.
• Customer service oriented with effective communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or respond to emergency call-outs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and carry carpentry tools, wooden boards, and fixtures.
• Comfortable working in confined or elevated spaces using ladders or scaffolding.
• Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, and using hand tools for extended periods.
• Able to work in varying environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor).
