Description
Description Purpose: The Form Carpenter is responsible for building and assembling custom precast molds used in concrete production, ensuring each form meets precise design specifications and quality standards. This position requires strong carpentry skills, attention to detail, and adherence to all safety and environmental protocols. Essential Functions: Perform all job duties in accordance with company safety and environmental policies and procedures without exception. Adhere to all company policies and procedures while promoting and adhering to company values. Read plans and accurately create wood forms with close tolerance to specifications as needed using appropriate materials and tools Safely and skillfully operate pneumatic nail gun, hammer, measuring tape, and other tools necessary for the construction of wood forms. Keep wood working area clean and well organized. Identify need for new tools, hardware, lumber and other materials necessary for completion of projects. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Requirements: Minimum of one year’s experience in the carpentry field required; two years’ experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a variety of power tools, including but not limited to, skill saw, power drill, grinder, radial arm saw, jigsaw, and pneumatic nail gun. Ability to accurately read and interpret shop drawings and plans. Working knowledge of construction-related math. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to communicate effectively with team members. Ability to accept and follow direction as provided by supervisors and ask questions when needed. Ability to work overtime as needed. Physical Demands: Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 lbs. Ability to work in extreme weather, including but not limited to high heat, low temperature, and high sun environments. Ability to operate tools required to complete construction projects. Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and kneel as required to construct forms. Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
