Description

Summary: Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of laminate, wood, plywood, and wallboard, by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Studies blueprints or sketches, for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated. Assists Engineering as needed to insure designs that can be manufactured efficiently. Prepares layout. Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials. Shapes materials to prescribed measurements. Assembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue. Program and run CNC Wood Router. Set up and run edgebander Edgeband complex laminate designs by hand. Lay up laminate and veneer on 4x8 and 5x8 sheets of substrate. Slot and T-mold panels. General knowledge of wood working tools such as table saw, trim router, pocket screw boring machine etc.

Responsibilities

Constructs, installs, and repairs structures using wood, laminate, and plywood based on blueprints. Operates specialized machinery including CNC routers and edgebanders to fabricate fixtures.
