We’re looking for a skilled Carpenter/Lead Hand to join our construction team. This role combines hands-on carpentry with the ability to lead crews, manage site activities, and ensure high standards of craftsmanship and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • 5+ years in construction; 2+ years in a supervisory role
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Carpentry certification/apprenticeship preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to read blueprints and plans
  • Proficient with tools and safety codes
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams

Responsibilities

LEAD HAND DUTIES

  • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
  • Lead and work alongside site workers, subcontractors, and trades.
  • Ensure work is completed to code, spec, and schedule.
  • Support communication with clients, inspectors, architects, and project managers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Monitor supplies and equipment and coordinate deliveries.
