SKILLS

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Proven experience in multiple trades
  • A strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to construction and maintenance work
  • The ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks consistently
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry is highly desirable
  • First Aid at Work Certificate - Mandatory

Responsibilities

The Carpenter/Multi Trader will be responsible for a diverse array of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Assembling furniture and fixtures as required
  • Conducting carpentry work, including fabrication and installation of wood structures
  • Performing heavy lifting as necessary for project completion
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, drywall, and other materials
  • Construct frameworks such as walls, floors, and doorframes
  • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Follow building plans and local building codes
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals such as plumbers, electricians, and laborers
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
