Modular Precast Systems is a precast manufacturing facility in Bradford West Gwillimbury, ON. We are innovative, fast-paced, technologically advanced, and our goal is to provide the highest quality precast construction components for our customers.
JOB TITLE: Carpenter
JOB TYPE: Full-time, Permanent
SALARY: $28 - $32 /per hour (subject to experience)
BENEFITS: Medical Benefits Plan (after 3 months), 6% Vacation Pay
We are looking for a Precast Carpenter that has experience in the construction and/or construction manufacturing sector. You should be proficient in working independently, and proactively, in a team environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Plant Manager and Production Manager in a fast-paced environment. This requires high organizational skills, attention to detail, timely decision making and proactive problem solving.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum 5 years in a Carpentry role
· Experience in a precast concrete plant a bonus
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
· Work effectively in a team environment.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize processes.
· The ability to read drawings and hardware lists
· Physically able to handle heavy material
· Confident ability to work with power tools and saws

Responsibilities

· Build concrete forms for various construction project.
· Building Architectural details as specified in drawings with an understanding of radius and angles.
· Work with variety of materials concrete, steel, rebar, wood)
· Understand and source appropriate materials for the specific project
· Follow project designs/drawings
· Review own work to ensure it’s up to code and specifications
· Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equip. to ensure everything is level and secure
· Working with an assortment of tools to ensure the projects accuracy.
