Successful candidates will:

• Be a Qualified Tradesman with experience in maintenance carpentry.
• Have experience and practical sound knowledge of the Construction, Joinery and Building sector.
• Be client centred with a strong service ethic.
• Be collaborative, with the ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships with colleagues.
• Have comprehensive experience and understanding of the Building Act, Construction and Building standards, regulations, and other regulatory requirements relevant to the duties of this position, including Health and Safety requirements.

As a Carpenter in our Trade Services team, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of high-quality construction and building work on the University of Otago, Dunedin campus.
You will ensure projects are completed to specified standards, in an efficient, cost effective and safe manner.
You will be co-ordinating across campus with facility managers, departmental staff and contractors on the installation and maintenance of services within buildings.
