Responsibilities • Construct, install, and repair building frameworks and structures such as floors, walls, doors, windows, cabinets, partitions, and ceilings. • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders. • Install hardware, trim, molding, drywall, and other finishing components. • Inspect and diagnose issues in existing structures and recommend appropriate repair solutions. • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patching, refinishing, and structural reinforcement. • Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and building codes. • Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades to coordinate tasks and project timelines. • Maintain accurate records of materials used, time spent, and work completed using CMMS Maximo. • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs • Safely operate tools and equipment and maintain a clean, organized work environment • May be required to work weekends, holidays, early and late shifts N/A • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must have a driver’s country of origin license. Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License Knowledge of building codes, QA/QC, and safety regulations Experience: At minimum Four (4) years’ experience Skills & Technology Used: English proficiency Reading & Speaking Level 2, Writing Level 1 Proven experience as a carpenter or in a related construction/maintenance role Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and building standards Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints Proficiency with carpentry tools and power equipment Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in various environments Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and craftsmanship Physical Activites Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies. Working Environment Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production conditions as well. The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions. No effective protection from the weather. The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside. The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard about the ambient noise level.
