Carpenter/Welder Full-Time Seasonal, Non-Exempt Reports to: Technical Director Start Date: 4/27/2026 End Date: 9/13/2026 Department: Production - Scenic Housing: Housing available Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience JOB OVERVIEW The Carpenter/Welder is responsible for constructing and welding various set pieces and structures. This role involves interpreting blueprints, cutting and welding metal, and assembling set components. This position requires a skilled individual with extensive knowledge of carpentry, welding, and metalwork. REQUIREMENTS Construct and weld various set pieces and structures. Interpret blueprints, cut and weld metal, and assemble set components. Ensure all work is completed safely and to the required specifications. Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and assist during load-ins and load-outs as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols to prevent accidents. Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Proficiency in welding techniques and metal fabrication. Proficiency in various carpentry techniques and tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience with various welding equipment and safety gear. Experience with theatrical set construction and assembly. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices.
