We are seeking a Carpentery Assistant with a strong understanding of capentitry and building furniture with an attention to detail. Job Description Report to the Carpentry team lead to assist with production and fabrication of furniture as required. Willingness to learn new carpentry techniques and machinery operations as projects require. Address and resolve issues during the assembly process. High attention to detail and strong problem solving skills during the production process. Maintain product quality in adherence to company standards. Assist with the warehouse team during down times, operating fork lift and preparing orders for shipment Qualifications Proven history of carpentry work on furniture pieces or related products Competent using wood working machinery, power tools and associated hardware to perform a variety of tasks in the fabrication process. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Able to read and interpret work shop drawings, blue prints and assembly instructions to produce product as required Knowledge of wood staining, prepping and finishing practices Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team, taking direction from the team lead Fluent in English (Spanish beneficial but not essential) Forklift certified, or willing to complete a course upon hire Employee may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), and weekends as production needs require Additional Information Salary: $45,000 Salaried position and fully in office.
