Job Description About the Role We are seeking an experienced Carpet Fitter team for General Works projects within the social housing sector in Reading. This role is ideal for teams looking for steady, long-term work on a well‑organised programme in occupied properties. What You’ll Be Doing Carpet flooring installation Uplift and disposal of existing flooring Floor preparation Fitting underlay and gripper rods Ensuring high-quality finish in occupied properties Qualifications CSCS card Proven experience in carpet/flooring installation Experience in domestic/social housing preferred NVQ Level 2 (preferred) Basic H&S certifications (asbestos awareness preferred) Additional Information In addition to the above qualifications, we are looking for: Right to work in the UK Own tools (110v or battery-operated) Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (van preferred) Good conversational English Reliable, organised, and able to work to deadlines Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality DBS Check Required: Yes Role Type: Contractor
